WORLD WIDE BARTENDER WEEK
Conceptualised and produced by multimedia PR and marketing agency, Hanna Lee Communications, Worldwide Bartender Week celebrates bartending as a noble career and spotlights storytelling in the bar community globally. New York Bartender Week’s first edition of Worldwide Bartender Week took place from 18-24 November, 2024. As part of Worldwide Bartender Week, the initiative is expanding across the U.S. and globally in 2025.
INDIA BARTENDER WEEK
What began as part of the New York Bartender Week by Hanna Lee has now made its way to India’s shores as India Bartender Week (IBW). An initiative spearheaded by industry stalwarts – Vikram Achanta, Minakshi Singh, and Yangdup Lama – IBW is set to honour the bar trade in India. It’s more than just an event – it’s a movement that celebrates the craft of bartending while focusing on innovation, community, and global networking. A place where conversations ignite, ideas flourish, and connections come alive over clinking glasses – this is the true spirit of IBW.

VIKRAM ACHANTA

An Economics Graduate from Delhi University, Vikram completed his MBA from IIM, Kolkata in 1992. He then spent 9 years as a management consultant, turning entrepreneur in 2000. Vikram lives in Delhi, with his wife and 2 children, and when he’s not grappling with the challenges of entrepreneurship, likes to write and run. He currently writes for various publications, including The Hindu, Man’s World, Business Standard Weekend, Brews and Spirits, and Outlook Traveller.
MINAKSHI SINGH

With over 18 years of experience in the alco-bev and hospitality industry, Minakshi Singh has an unsatiable entrepreneurial appetite. After a decade of experience working with some of the leading spirits companies like Pernod Ricard, Diageo and Tulleeho, she got together with industry icon, Yangdup Lama, to start Cocktails & Dreams, Speakeasy in 2012 and Sidecar in 2018.

Bar owner, entrepreneur, and author, Yangdup Lama, has had an illustrious career over the past 25 years. Yangdup is celebrated as one of India’s finest bar professionals, setting the gold standard for spirits and cocktails.
Winner of multiple awards, his dedication has shaped the cocktail culture in India, donning roles as a trainer, ambassador, and mentor. Yangdup’s influence extends far, as he shares his expertise through captivating talks, immersive workshops, and visionary leadership.
